Looking back on Bricksie’s 2020!

What a year!

2020 was a turbulent one for just about everybody, and Bricksie HQ was no exception. As we look forward to 2021 with optimism, I wanted to take a look back at some of the major milestones I navigated this year. Join me in a quick jaunt down memory lane!

  1. My Most Watched Video

Back in February, I released a LEGO City update that wound up being my most watched video TO DATE, with over 835,000 views (and counting)! Check it out below!

To be honest, I kind of miss this setup, but I’m eager to see the new layout grow!

2. The Move of all Moves

Me and Mrs. Bricksie bought a brand new pad! We’re loving the new house, and my subscribers were with me every step of the way, from the final update in the old place, to the packing and moving the collection, and the final setup in the new joint!

Check out each step of the journey above, and the most recent update below:

3. LEGO Store Re-opening

After the pandemic shut down stores across the globe, I was itching for the day when retailers could safely reopen. When they finally did, the shopping experience looked MUCH different, with new safety precautions in place that took some getting used to. LEGO has done a great job streamlining COVID procedures to offer versatile, unobtrusive safety measures that have minimal impact on customers.

Check out my first day back below:

4. West Edmonton Mall LEGO Store Grand Opening

Hard to remember back in the summer when rumors were first beginning to swirl about the new LEGO Store being planned for West Edmonton Mall. I was there from the beginning, delivering news, construction updates (like a LOT of construction updates) and more.

As opening day approached, imagine my shock when LEGO actually invited me in for a sneak peek of one of the largest LEGO stores in the world before its official opening! I can’t thank LEGO enough for the opportunity! (I started returning the favor right away by buying out practically their entire stock).

5. Movember Charity Drive

I spent the month of November with an itchy upper lip as we got ready to launch a 12-HOUR livestream for charity on November 28th! We donated the entirety of the BRICKSIE net profits for the day and with your help raised an amazing amount of money for men’s physical and mental health issues. It is truly amazing when the LEGO community comes together to support a cause and I can’t wait to see what challenges await us next year.

Not too shabby, eh?

Those are just a few highlights from the biggest year the channel has ever had. While I’m proud of these accomplishments, I can’t thank you all enough for your continued support. Bricksie would be nothing without my subscribers & members, and I am immensely grateful that so many fans have continued to tune in. We’re currently closing on 75,000 subscribers and recently surpassed 12 MILLION total channel views, and it boggles the mind to imagine where 2021 will take us.

Be sure to check out Life of Foresight, my new non-LEGO channel where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes peek at a day in the life of Bricksie.

Happy New Year everybody! Stay safe and all the best for 2021!
